Mertonhof Guest House and Camping
About the Campsite
Small campsite next to river on a secluded farm in the Biedouw Valley famous for its amazing wild flower displays in the late winter/early spring. The campsite has only 3 sites which are part shaded and have electricity, water points and a fireplace. Booking is therefore essential. There is only one hot shower and a single toilet for the camp which may be a problem as camping is also allowed next to and on the disused airstrip not far from the main camp but there are no facilities there. The cost to camp is R120 per person per night on either the main campsite or the air strip. Great location but quite a way from any public amenities such as fuel stations. Activities: relaxing, hiking, mountain biking, star gazing. Access is on gravel roads which vary in condition from good to not so good. NB! There is no through route north east from Enjo as the river crossing 17 kms along the gravel road is normally too deep in the rainfall winter months.
All vehicle access. Firewood available for purchase. Main farmhouse has an honesty bar selling drinks and snacks.
